11am, Rev. Lari Goold, Guest Speaker

Sanctuary & Livestream

Although I never saw them, I swear it is true that Mothers have eyes in the back of their heads! We all have a Divine Mother who knows and sees us and watches over us and loves us unconditionally. As we celebrate Mothers on this day, let's recognize This That Made Us as the mothering presence ever faithful.

Listening in with... Julia Cameron

Writing for Guidance

by Kathy Koontz

Julia Cameron is the legendary author of the wildly popular Artist’s Way book series, which made its debut in 1992. With it, she introduced the world to the daily practice of writing Morning Pages (three handwritten pages of stream of consciousness thoughts), in addition to three other tools to boost creativity that she’s described in the series.

Most recently, Cameron has written about a tool she calls writing for guidance, a meditative process she says is a kind of safety net that undergirds the other three tools. You basically write down questions for a higher power, and then when you hear the answers in your head, you write them down, too, as though you were taking dictation. Cameron talks to Unity Magazine editor Katy Koontz about how creativity and spirituality are identical, as well as the roles gratitude, hope, and even humor play in the spiritual journey.

We offer women in shelters a unique opportunity to come together for a special Women’s Day Brunch. It’s a heartfelt celebration of their resilience in overcoming abuse and a powerful reminder that they are seen, cherished, and appreciated. This event provides a valuable platform for them to connect with others who have shared similar experiences, share their stories, and receive support from a caring community. Each attendee is also gifted with flowers and a small token of appreciation, a gesture many may not have experienced in a long time, if at all.

Join Rev. Gloria Cox's book-study group

to read Hell in the Hallway, Light at the Door: How to Move Gracefully Through Change into Renewed and Abundant Life, by Ellen Debenport, Unity Minister.

As we progress through the book we will learn and act on ways to move beyond the "Hallway." Ellen Debenport describes the Hallway as that place between jobs, relationships, after a death or divorce. This book is about how to make use of your time in the hallway, then walk out into the light.

Please contact Rev. Gloria with any questions. Reserve your place in the class and get the Zoom link by calling her at: 817-472-5655

Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper under-standing of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life. Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God. Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!

Spiritual counseling is offered on a love offering basis. While no specific fee is expected or suggested, we do invite each person to leave a love offering. For more details, please call the church office 817-467-5151.
