"Back to School: A Lifetime of Learning"
11 am, Rev. Rebecca Rickey
Sanctuary & Livestream on Facebook
It’s that time of year. Students of all ages are headed back to school. Life adjusts to “school hours”, seasons change, and we move into the space of deep learning. It’s a rite of passage. Do you still, no matter your age, have the desire to learn new things? Are you a “perpetual” student, a purposeful lifetime learner? Even if you didn’t like school, are you seeking opportunities for growth in your spiritual life? Do you desire a more fulfilling everyday life experience? Get up, get ready, and get to “class”. There’s always something to learn. Join us this Sunday, as Rev. Rebecca looks at “going back to school”. There is an open desk waiting for you.

"And So We Pray"

Prayer Ministry Sunday
Installation of Prayer Chaplains
Sanctuary & Livestream on Facebook
There are many ways to pray, and prayer is very important. Answer this: How do you react when someone in the group says, “Let’s pray about that!”? Do you feel expectant relief or queasy discomfort? Do you want to politely excuse yourself or do you step right up and join hands? Affirmative Prayer, as practiced in Unity, deepens our personal connection to and awareness of the Divine within us. Prayer is the foundation of Unity and a core ministry at Unity of Arlington. Join hands with us on Prayer Ministry Sunday as we install our new group of Prayer Chaplains and take a look at how the practice of “Affirmative Prayer” can add new depth and awareness to your spiritual life.

It is time for the 32nd Annual Unity World Day of Prayer!
At a time in our world when prayer is so very important, this event focuses on spiritual connection, the power of collective affirmative prayer and the importance of connecting with the divine within.
On Sept. 10 and 11th, people worldwide will join in a 24-hour prayer vigil, knowing that we can never be separate from God and involves prayer, meditation, and affirmations.
At Unity of Arlington, we will be celebrating in two very special ways.
First, on Wed., Sept. 10 at 7pm, we will gather in the sanctuary to enjoy the online opening day celebration together as a spiritual community with “two of our very own,” keynote speaker Tracy Brown and musician Kit Holmes.
If you are unable to attend with us in person, you may also register for free at http://bit.ly/4fNGDpl
Second, on Thurs., Sept. 11 from 12noon to 6pm, we will hold a prayer vigil in the sanctuary. This is a time for holding sacred space in silent prayer and reflection on this year’s theme is Be Still and Know. The affirmation: In the stillness, I awaken to divine wisdom.
You may sign up for the in person prayer vigil on the sign up sheet at the back of the church.

Unity of Arlington has launched
Child Care and Youth Circle
Thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers and support from a local school counselor, we’re able to offer a safe, nurturing space where children and teens can engage in age-appropriate activities, connect with peers, and feel part of a warm, accepting community.
We would love to see your children and are excited to welcome more young minds into our loving and inclusive circle.
