Unity Principle #4: Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity and everything good.

Have you ever wondered… What is prayer? And… Why pray at all? In Unity, we practice affirmative prayer. This is what puts our beliefs to the test! Why? Because we teach what it means to pray from the awareness of our Oneness with God. It is the same method Jesus taught when he said, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24). Join Rev. Anne as she continues her Sunday Series, “Unity in a Nutshell 2022,” and we take a deeper look at how this one foundational practice can transform your life.

Unity Principle #5: Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the truth that he or she knows.

You may recall the answer to the old joke… “Can you tell me how to get to Carnegie Hall?” It’s… “Practice, practice, practice!” Join Rev. Anne for the conclusion of her Sunday Message Series, “Unity in a Nutshell 2022,” as we explore our fifth principle and how it’s not enough to know and understand these spiritual laws; we must actually practice them!

"Lift Every Voice and Sing!"

Hybrid Service (online and in-person)

Are you ready to lift your voice and sing about the power of God in your life and the life of all Creation? The song “Lift Every Voice” is a spiritual person’s study guide. Originally written as a poem to inspire faith and affirm wholeness for Black Americans, the lyrics also have a message for all people. Tracy Brown introduces us to the words again, but this time from a metaphysical perspective, so we can more deeply appreciate the power of this song. Honor Black History Month and explore your own divinity at the same time.

Dear Friend,

As we come together in prayer, we focus on our breath. Notice how it flows in and out of the body. We acknowledge our breath and the abundant way it blesses us. With this awareness, we create a sacred space from which to pray.

We pray knowing an abundance of life is happening as we breathe. We share this holy breath with all whom we know and don’t know.

In this holy moment, we affirm: I live, move, and have my being with each breath.

In this moment, we breathe with the world. We understand that we are one abundant breath, for we are one with all.

We claim it in this prayer, and we know it as our Truth.

We invite you to relax, take a moment of silence, and enjoy this abundance meditation.

Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper under-standing of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life. Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God. Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES

Principle #1:
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life, God the Good.

Principle #2:
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.

Principle #3:
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

Principle #4:
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

Principle #5:
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.

CORE VALUES
Spirit-Led:
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in all we do.

Love:
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole human family.

Diversity:
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity, we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.

Connection:
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.

Abundance:
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.

Service:
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.

Integrity:
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
