"We The People"
Steven D. Morris
11am, Sanctuary and Livestream on Facebook
We celebrated our 250 birthday. The fireworks, parades and barbeques were fun. Now what? Does it feel like we live in united states? Do we really live in the dream city? What can we do to make a more perfect union? Is it still possible to pursue happiness? I still believe America can be beautiful, but it will take work from all of us. I hope to see all of you wonderful people as we talk about We The People.

"One Family, Living on One Planet"
Rev. Lari Goold
11am, Sanctuary and Livestream on Facebook
What would it mean to really believe we are all one global family and that we are each unique and divine? We know there is strength in numbers. A community of people walking together on a spiritual path has a great deal of strength. What strengths do we find in our community or this spiritual family? There are many things that are very difficult for us to do on our own, but when we live together as community, they become easy and natural. Let’s explore how we bring individual uniqueness to complete the whole.

"Thank You for Understanding"
Rev. Rebecca Rickey
11am, Sanctuary and Livestream on Facebook
"Thank you for understanding" is a phrase we often use to express appreciation for someone's patience or compassion. The spiritual power for the month of July is Understanding, as defined by Unity Co-Founder, Charles Fillmore. We'll explore how spiritual understanding moves us beyond simply gathering information to awakening wisdom, insight, and compassionate awareness. As we develop this divine faculty, we begin to see ourselves, others, and life's challenges through the eyes of Spirit rather than fear or judgment. Understanding becomes the bridge between what we know with our minds and what we realize in our spiritual hearts. Join us as we discover how divine understanding transforms the way we see life itself.

Before you say, “I can’t ‘do’ yoga”, let me introduce the ancient art of Yoga Nidra. Nidra means sleep and, in this practice, you are guided into a meditative state that explores the koshas, or sheaths, of yourselves. These layers include your physical body, mind-emotional layer, energetic or pranic body where our sacred breath lives, our wisdom layer, and our bliss body-right at our heart’s center. Yoga Nidra is also known as Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR) and has been proven in the literature to not only reduce stress and cortisol but also increase cognitive abilities, quality of actual sleep, and increase dopamine by up to 60%!
It is traditionally done laying down, but this powerful practice can be engaged laying in any position or even sitting in a chair. When woven together with the fourth principle of Unity—that prayer and meditation connect us to God—Yoga Nidra ceases to be a mere relaxation technique and becomes a powerful gateway to the Divine
Bring a blanket, yoga mat, or floor pillow...whatever you’d find comfortable.
